The ME could be Profile.
Also, the spacing on that header is uneven. Me is too far away from portrait.
I don't need that first pic to go dark like it does.

If you're trying to sell your services, invest in a domain name and server. Those don't cost a whole lot, but what they do for your appearance of professionalism is staggering. The ad at the top of the page screams fly-by-night. No commercial site should ever have random ads.

Nice ads, not. Are you actually trying to lure customers in?

Very amateur site. Spend the money and get a domain, pay for hosting, and get a professional website.

p.1 #6 · My first Website Try

Hi Curtis,

I am an amateur and I am not earning any money yet. I mainly do it cos I love photography. The adds are big, yes I know. I will change that now. The web is simple? I did it myself and I am trying to put the option of comments and making it more appealing. as the title says, it is my first website and i have to improve it piece by piece.
Once i can afford the price, i will go for a professional site or I will provably do it myself after learning a bit more. I still have to discover options and more things of the app I am using:-)

the Ads will be removed or changed today for sure.

PS: I find the music in websites a bit annoying.

I just fixed the part of the picture. I also took the bottom adsense add.

I can't change the add on top yet but working on it :-)

Thanks william.

The front page image is underexposed. I wouldn't know where to start on commenting. Scratch it, I'd say.

You're getting there. Ask yourself who are you trying to reach and what you'd like to say to them. If you're looking to reach prospective wedding customers, ask why weddings are the last thing on your portfolio list. Try to view your site through the eyes of the customer that you're trying to reach. There are a lot of pictures of flowers and buildings and stuff which would make great site if you were trying to market to flowers and buildings. Not so good if you're trying to market to brides.

Yet you have a price list on your site?

From your website

Event Photographer: Weddings, confirmations, sports, shows, receptions, portrait sessions. I would be happy to assist you as a photographer on your special occasion.

And your posting this in a forum that is "dedicated to professional wedding photography"

J.Curtis,

I think I read your comment as being a bit too sharp/harsh. Still, you got it right to the point.
Thanks for the advice.

There is a price list that has just been added this afternoon and my intention is to become a professional. I am making my firsts steps and building up my portfolio. That is why I am coming to this site, seeking for advice from people that have more knowledge in the field.

I would love to have cordial and constructive feedback from the members of this forum.

With all humility I offer the following advice. Find a photographer whose style you enjoy. EMULATE, their style, look, website, persona, confidence, etc. To the naysayers, I am not telling him to copy and rip off somebody that's "made it." I am just saying find a style that you want to emulate and do so. What this will do, is open your creativity and help you determine a look of your own. You'll find yourself by getting out of yourself. Keep trying.

Thanks Scott,

It does not sound bad, as a football player i had some idols from which I found my way and from this way i developed my style later on as a professional(2nd Division).

It has been a great advice.

Yes, i think it looks presentable. I am not sure how it looked before but it definitely not going to turn people away. And all advice you get isnt good advice.
Good opening page with and the navigation is pretty easy.

In all honesty, this isn't anything that is going to attract clients. A bad website is worse than no website. Imagine walking into a store that is all cluttered, unorganized, smells, bad lighting and is in a bad location, you'll leave quickly. Your website is your storefront for most photographers, so you have 2 seconds to make a lasting 1st impression.

I think the website lacks structure . . . well, it doesn't have it at all. Things are just floating around without any sense or logic. The Profile page isn't a profile. I don't want to see what gear you have, tell me why I should hire you? You have no real wedding images, so if you want to advertise as a wedding photographer, this isn't the way to do it. Start doing some for free, post some listings on craigslist for free photos to build up your portfolio.

I don't mean to be harsh, but some of us learned the hardway, and if I were to start over again, this is what I'd want to hear.

For $100 you can get a killer Bludomain template that will serve almost all your needs. No one can give you that kind of quality for that price. Even if you do it yourself.

I think its a good first page. I like the home page mirror effect. I don't think your ready to start attracting clients. The first thing I would worry about is improving the quality, and in some cases, size of the galleries. It sounds like your similar to me ameteur planning to go pro. Your technique and style is getting there, especially in the nature and urban area, however your portrait gallery is the weakest IMO excluding the 3 shot wedding gallery. Since you posted in the wedding forum I think that you should work on shots where people are your subjects and then worry about web pages. Just my .02

I am editing my first wedding, so the wedding part will be solved in one or two weeks. For the profile part I am finishing it while we "talk". About the structure I am going to start thinking of it straight away:-)

Hello again,

I will list the improvements I have managed to make after your advice:

1-Adds have been deleted on the top and side of the pages
2-Front picture has been rearranged and resized
3-Changed some uneven stuff

Further changes

1- The pictures are going to be arranged as albums to simplify it a bit more and give it more structure
2-Front Page will be redone and I will try to give it some animation
3-Profile changes are on the move
4-Adding some good wedding and portrait pictures in just a few days

Do not stop giving feedback:-)
