I am new to the forum and just purchased a Nikon D300. I work for the U.S. Army in Germany and want to do a lot of landscape and scenic photography. I read Tori's article, The way I process my images but am confused about his first few steps regard converting the RAW file to linear TIFF and using Fred's LP Batch Pro. Can someone explain these 2 steps, please. I searched Fred's software and could not find the LP Batch Pro for a Nikon D300. Bottom line is, I want to purchase whatever software necessary to process the images as simple as possible but get high quality products, probably the same goal as everyone else on this website. Appreciate any assistance and hope to hear from you soon. I shot a lot of images this weekend and am anxious to process. A response would be more than appreciated.
Adobe Photoshop CS3 is perhaps the most common and most powerful image processor but you could look at the cheaper Elements version or possible Adobe Lightroom.
