Im in no position to be giving advice but, I think it would look better without the power lines crossing the picture.

I agree. This one doesn't work nearly as well as the other one and I'm guessing it is partly because those lines crossing the image break the flow and partly because you've too far in placing the point of convergence right in the middle both vertically and (unlike in the other image) horizontally.

Quick and dirty PS removal of the power lines. However without them it seems to throw the balance off completely.
