Hi, Roger; No, I shoot with an Olympus c765, a little Point & Shoot 4 megapixel digital and a warming circular polarizer. Yeah, my pics do tend towards noise/grain. And yes, I've been considering converting it to black and white. Now that I've had it suggested, I'm gonna do it.
Thanks for pushing me off the fence to do it. As for rustic, well, you aren't the first to express acceptance; One of my bristlecone shots drew a similar comment from a friend; He said it added to the "charm".
Here I was thinking you got a real lightning bolt... Though this is pretty cool, the thoughts that ran through my head on how you could have gotten a lightning bolt with that P&S of yours...
I've often wondered how I could capture lightning with my P&S, too, because I am limited to 15 second exposures. I suppose I could set up during an approaching storm and do the timed 15 second exposure, but I'm not sure I want to do that. Lightning strikes aren't something I want to court, and standing in the open is too dangerous. I can't risk having my camera hit with a bolt!

(Yes, I'm more worried about my camera being fried than me getting hit. Once I'm dead, that's it, but if I survive and my camera is gone, that's gonna be rough.)
