I'm a professional musician that works making sounds for Korg synthesizers. I also do music production (worked on 2 songs for Randy Jackson's solo album that just came out) and I also started a company that is doing "royalty free" music for photographic slide shows and DVDs: http://prophotomusic.com/, The songs are more expensive than buying a normal music CD, but you're buying a license to use them for your promotion and or products that you create to give to clients (DVD for weddings for example).
Shot below from July when I went to the Olympic National parks for 5 days. Just finished the paper work for one of my photos from this trip to Shi Shi beach - it is being used in a summer issue of Seattle Magazine for a story on Oregon/Washington beaches !!
I'm an ex-climbing and XC ski- and bike-racing bum, artist/painter/furniture maker. Photographer for 30 years now. I've done a number of art shows and festivals, some commercial and magazine work, and a couple of solo and group gallery exhibitions. I decided that I really dislike the business aspect of it, so mostly pay for my photography habit with my neurology medical practice. Presently specializing in emergency hospital neurology at a comprehensive stroke center. http://fototime.com/1600EA9EDDA47E8/orig.jpg http://fototime.com/9D71B15FCC41B1B/orig.jpg
Again, I am amazed to read what you all do and to put faces to names! Or see new photos of people who have been round here for a while.
Just great! Keep them coming!

Ha, you caught me and my dyslexia in the same room together! Of course there's 365 days in a year....Alex, sorry but I have to take back my well wishing for the time being!!!
My maths is probably a bit out too. My brithday is on the 8th!
I can beat Alex and Floris by age (and size of sun-glasses *g*) ;-)
I'm currently doing civil service (mandatory in Germany) as a nurse at a local hospital. If things go the way I want it, I'll study economics by the end of this year.
Since this is such a popular thread, I'd better introduce myself to the crowd. I'm Gordon Smith (my middle name starts will L so I'm "gordon l" on the site). I live in St. George, UT and started into photography as a more serious hobby about 3-4 years ago. I always loved pictures before, but never was really any good. I'm married with 3 great kids. Love to travel. Landscape photography has given me more excuse to get off the beaten path and see some incredible places. I love that part about it most: seeing a great place, loving it, and then bringing back those great emotions when I see my photo later. I'm a primary care physician for my day job. My wife and I love dipping home-made chocolates and hiking about Zion and other SW sites. This is a great place to live and we love camping/exploring. Every year I travel to Montana for a couple weeks in that great place. It's a family ritual that we love.
Well seeing that there is such a demand for more images of Jan & I here is one that I just finished processing from our recent trip to Southern Nevada.
I am a software consultant for a large firm out of California. I've been working in the insurance / financial software industry for over 15 years. Hobbies are.....well photography and all creative arts. I am not much of a carpenter or handy man. In fact if it can't be fixed by a glue gun I am in trouble.
I am very grateful to all of you for your continued comments and support of my work. I hope to take my photography work someday to the next level. Being 56 years old I am looking forward to my retirement in the next six years.
Jim, it's your turn now. Not a D3 or a 200 - 400 but the ball is now in your court. Check out those knees! Jim we need to see an image of you showing some skin.
Heres me in the studio trying to make a point about smoking. I don't smoke and trying to get some people here to quit. But this is the best I have of me for now.

Just about to graduate from Cornell University.. then off to CalTech for a PhD in Control and Dynamical Systems, with a long term plan of convincing my girlfriend to be an invasive radiologist so that I can pursue photography for a living and not worry about feeding myself.. and maybe work in some engineering projects on the side (related to photography of course) so I don't waste my education
I got curious and looked at CalTech's website for that degree... crazy stuff. Good Luck :-P
A few shots from my recent trips to the desert for shooting. I love doing solo trips out there because I can spend as many hours as I want taking photos of a rock. Good times!
I am 26 years old. I live in Kentucky. (Yes we where shoes and bathe) I am really jealous of all of your jobs. It seems like everyone has realy cool jobs but me. I work in a factory making duct tape. Like most other middle class people in America, the economy is causing me major problems right now. I'm not sure how I'm going to make my house payment this month. Anyway, I love photography. I work part-time for a local newspaper shooting sports. I shoot with Canon stuff. I want to shoot full-time, but I'm still trying to build a client base. I'm married with 3 kids. No pets. I love music.

I'll play. I'm Jeff a 25 year old perpetual college student who has no idea what to do with my life. I'm having a damn good time at the moment though so I'll just keep doing what I'm doing until something better comes along. I drive a forklift for a living and photography is how I stay sane for the most part.

You look quite happy, in a fragmented way.
Actually you're still young and have time to figure things out. No rush.
