the only thing I can offer is to have whom ever is getting their attention to center themselves over the camera and lower so it will look like they're looking into the camera. (or right at the viewer). There are some great expressions here but I felt they were directed elsewhere and not at me, the viewer. Other than that, I liked them. Thanks for posting.

Excellent.... Can you tell me what gear have you used, and the exif if you don't mind....
Thanks Andre. As for gear used, two Alien Bee 800 monolights and a small reflector. The camera used was a Canon 20D with the Canon 24-70 f/2.8 lens.
The exif for these shots are basically the same. They are ISO 100, 1/200, f11 with auto white balance. I shot in raw so I adjusted the white balance afterwards.
I hope this is what you were looking for. Any further questions please let me know. Thanks.

Thanks Jimbobp. I agree with you 100%. The problem is that my wife will listen less than my kids sometimes. Haha. I kept telling her that she needs to crouch down and get behind me as I kept getting the "up the nostril" shots. She didn't quite understand what the big deal was until I showed her these photos afterwards on the computer. Now she understands how much of a difference it makes.
Did you process out some of the shadows and add in some white around the outside on these? I see a slightly grey area around all of them and then white around the outside. Good to see your kids are having fun while learning the lights.
