Yesterday my good friends asked me to take few nice portait shots for them and here's the one I like most.
D300 with Tamron 17-50 and 2 AB800's and one old Multiblitz head for hair light.
Hope you like it
Interesting picture.... I am not sure I like the lightning of that one... Very harsh on her right side which doesn't give her justice.. Good try anyway
I like the image very much. Very nice portrait that engages the viewer very well and so stands out among the many portraits shown here.
She is lovely, but you have captured her personality with the expression, something I like even more.
I do like the BW treatment and the use of light too. Good composition too.
I also like seeing the natural skin texture, and commend you for not making her skin look 'plastic' (as is too often seen on a forum like this). That naturalness is important and keeps the image 'real.'
Overall, it is an outstanding image.
What would I change?
Something very very small. There is an 'arc' of hair on the upper right of the image that has caught the light and shows as a 'curve'. I would eliminate/clone over that one hair to eliminate that distraction.
I hope you find these comments helpful.
Now, I hope you will help me too. A little "take and give" if you will. I do not have a "global impression" from your country yet, and hope you will provide one for me. I would like your Impressions on any of my work as described in the following link. Follow this link to learn more about my Global Impressions Project and how a few words from you can help. http://steadmanuhlich.com/globalforum/global_impressions.htm
Dear Steady I've looked in your portfolio and really like your work. Sent you a email with my impressions.
Thanks for the Global Impression you left. Truly appreciated by me.
That is what makes the world a nicer place...people helping others.
One thing, so I can properly attribute, what city in Serbia?
I took a look at your portfolio and you have many images of excellent quality and interest. You should post more of them here (or perhaps you already have, as I am kinda new here). There were many that made me think "Great." A visual treat.
Dragana - doesn't that mean "dear one"? My father's driver in Belgrade had a daughter of that name - who knows?
I like the expression you caught in her portrait. I want to move her right eye (on the bright side of her face) just a little up and to the right, but great image nonetheless!
i like the position and compositiion but i think that either the conversion is a little blown out or the original shot is blown out, very natural and pretty model
