Just testing out my new 50 f/1.4 on my niece and nephews. Was a bit tough to shoot with all the commotion but I was able to snap a few quick documentations
My 5D was covered with icing and cake batter by the end of the day, but it was worth it. BTW sorry about all the small image files, I didn't want to flood the first two pages is all...if you would like you can check out the original sizes here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/22033965@N05/
Thanks for looking
A very fun series. I'm ready to eat some leftover cake batter DOF seems very thin on some of these shots, but the focal point seems to be right where you wanted it. I take it your happy with your new glass?
A very nice series. Well done. FUN to see and think back on those times in childhood. You got some great expressions and I have nothing 'critical' to add. They are very nice.

Great shots, Thanks for sharing!
No flash...only window light. Was basically seeing what this lens could do for me without additional light source, seems to work out pretty well. As of now I am pretty content with the 50...but I still find myself craving the 35L
Thank you, Canerino, means a lot coming from you...specifically since we share a similar style of shooting (at least by my eye) although you seem to have mastered it Anyhow I hope to show their children these images one day...
