p.1 #1 · HDR Photography, Nikon D60

I have always been into taking pictures and just got a new Nikon D60. I was wondering in regards to HDR photography, i understand the concept, about under and over exposing pictures and merging them together with cs3 or Photomatrix or others I'm sure, but i have heard that you can set up a camera to take 3, 5 or 7 successive photos each with a different exposure that can be merged for the HDR photo. If this is in fact true may someone please enlighten me as to how, or where to look for my specific camera. I looked in the manual and there is no mention of AEB, so I'm clueless. Sorry to bother you and thanks for your time.

You can use bracketing mode, but I'm unsure if that feature is in the D60. Either way, you probably want more shots than any bracketing mode in that camera will allow anyway.

The best bet is to setup your camera on a tripod and manually dial in -3eV to -2, -1, 0, +1, +2 etc etc.

The aperture must remain constant to mainain the same DOF in all shots. Only the shutter speed/ISO can vary.

i took some classes in Hs for photography, but im a noob as far as all of this goes. I figured you'd get better quality pictures of the camera did the work, rather that making sure the tri pod didn't move each time you took 1 of 7 or more pictures.

with using camera bracketing, you still have to click the shutter for each exposure, so it's not different than making the adjustments your self.

that being said, when i bracket for the few times i HDR, i just set the camera for continous and let it rip.
