Hello folks,I'm changing my 100% editorial base to now include shooting for clients that want to know what kind of services I can provide. They want: portfolio, resume, price sheet. This is a major sports franchise (NFL), the assignments are home games, and price sheet means what would I charge hourly or flat fee per game.First, this is not an online tangible I want them to see. I want to put together a formal presentation, something bound or with a spine. 1. How many photo samples do I include?2. Customized resume versus standard resume?3. Do I specify hourly rate, flat fee or both?I know you may need more details, so please ask. Thanks.Indy
You specify your prices based upon what it is the franchise wants. Do they want to own the images out right? Do they want to "share" copyright? Do they just want an unlimited license, and allow you to maintain sole copyright?
Will they refer all photo work in regards to the team to you? Will you also shoot commercial work for them? Advertising? NFL or team functions?
Will you be named the official "Team Photographer"?
Those are questions that I would want to know before I started quoting any prices.
NickyD,Those are great questions, thanks. I will remember them as I talk with the key contact. I'm really interested in how many pictures to include. Thanks again, people.Indy
INCLUDE ONLY YOUR BEST MOST SPECTACULAR, MOVING PHOTOS.
If that happens to be 100, then include them all. If it happens to be 10, then send 10. But, do not send anything mediocre, boring, cliche, or anything that looks similar to anything else. Make yourself standout.
