Couldn't get any closer to this due to a snow drift and a fence... After looking at the claws on it, I'm glad I couldn't!

Very nice Jamie, I like #1 the best as well. Badgers are getting harder to find in my area. Much like coyotes, unfortunately they have "shoot on sight" status from most local land owners. I enjoyed seeing these shots, it is refreshing to know that some Badgers are doing well in MT.

Sorry, I could not resist.

Those shots are cool. I like seeing different than the run of the mill animal shots every once in a while. Good job.

I love # 1 & I would not volunteer to get too close to a badger - - they're not known for their cuddly disposition.

Awesome! I can't remember the last time I've seen a badger.

Claws are for digging, its the teeth you want to avoid. Lots of Badger here in Montana. Really cool critters. Ranchers today are becoming more tolerant of all creatures. I'm a cowboy and things have changed alot since I was was young. We used to shoot anything that ate meat. Now its just too nice to have them around.

Nice badger captures Jamie!
I've never seen them on snow before.
Makes for excellent contrast.
Well exposed by the way.
Congrats,
Tim

Thanks everyone! I was surprised I got the shots I did. I was driving along when I spotted it and had to get out of the truck, get the pellican case open and get to the side of the road to start taking photos as it ran towards it'd den. When it got to the den it sat on top for awhile as I clicked away.

I got chased off a ridge by one of those critters while on a deer hunt in Oregon- while trying to get a photo of it. Silly things are mean! Your photos are nicer than the ones I got with the point and shoot while running for my life.

Nice images of a rare sighting. Too many similar pics for one post, though.
