I don't think I have a picture of me taking pictures. Maybe this will do it. I took it with a the tripod and self-timer. The Titmouse was the most cooperative bird I have ever seen. Not sure if I ever posted this picture.

that's a great shot of the giraffe's tongue & you with the Fisheye behind. Just too fun.

Great, we got a whole group going there. Looks like you're all ready to braze the weather. In a way it's amazing the birds don't make a run for it when you all come like that.

That's what I call a close encounter.
Keep the shots coming, there are far more people in this forum.

Okay, I am officially done. Who wants my gear, free? Socrate, you're killing me. If you can get that close why do you own long lenses? Dude a fisheye is all you need. I can't get that close, less than a foot, to anything but my livingroom wall. Nevermind setting up a tripod and taking this shot.
Congratulations my friend.
I will get some pic to post but NOTHING LIKE THIS ONE!!

I sure did, Nello.
Hahaha great shot man! Now next step is to train them to do some neat tricks...you know: back-flip, 360 summer-sault etc etc.
Tim's right...use a fish-eye or wide-angle next-time! i'm feeling generous today so i'll exchange my 12-24mm for your 500mm IS

Here's me. Not a pretty sight at the best of times, and looking like I've certainly had too much of something.
In actual fact, I'm shooting a wedding, making an extra effort to get that special shot. Many people say that I do my best work on the floor.
This shot was taken by my photography buddy, John Harvey, who kindly came along to second shoot with me on a very hot day in the Barossa Valley, South Australia, not long ago. A pretty good capture of a difficult subject!

OK Lil I got two, first is the day Julie arrived at the rehab center an all were treated to a friendly golden of 10 years of age. She came all the way from Cody Wyoming and brought new life to all of us. Bill, her trainer and handeler to be is to the left.
#2 well I was able to pull of a Socrate also but I did it all my self with a i.3 point and shoot which I held in one hane with the seed in the other. Took a few tries as the chickadee was not completley sold on the idea.

He, he, he! You right, Tim. I was too close. As a matter of fact I had to use a 5D rather than a 20D.

Great shot, Lou and well done. I must say, though, that with chickadees is very easy. Try that with a Titmouse and with no seeds in your hands.
I believe this was taken with the good old cheap 50mm on a 30D in the other hand.
