I am getting closer and closer to the point of where the aperture library stored on my laptop is too big for the internal harddrive.
What option do you use to store your Aperture library and optimize the speed of your workflow?
I was thinking about moving the library to an external harddrive (3.5”, FW400 connection) and keep a vault on another external HD (small 2.5” USB).
I do not want to keep master files outside the library because the back-up via the vaults just works fine for me
While traveling I could either copy the whole library over to the small HD and thus have everything with me, or maybe just travel with the laptop only to download the images and make a proper import into the aperture library later when back home.
What set-up do you use and recommend? What works for you? Please note that I only have a laptop set-up.
