Nice! Very well put together shot... Can't show my husband this one, it'll revive his old man skateboarding fantasy... heaven forbid, then I'll have to scrape him off the street...

I dig it. My son picked this on out because he loves skate boarding. I also was waiting to see how you ran with the WA like Mike being how interesting the shots have been. It was worth the wait. Cool shot and different flavor for us to savor.
I always like it when unique - but related - interpetiations to themes are used. Lighting is pretty nice here - it seems to isolate your subject nicely, bright but not too hot.

A great interpretation on the theme. Now let's see some of your Tony Hawk combos A technically great shot, lighting, framing, all good.
Great shot,
Chad
Much obliged Chad, but don't count on those combos, I can't even ride that thing!

Hey thanks Steve, and thanks to your son as well.
I was going to shoot some food items, but someone had eaten all the cookies!!

Thanks Marc,
I lit this with a shoe mounted flash zoomed into it's farthest setting, giving me a small circle of light to work with, then I pushed the contrast and desaturated in Camera Raw, and dodged and burned using curves adjustment layers.
Hi Jazno,
I really like this shot, the flash and the night scene give it a real gritty, street feel. This is a really nice and unique take on the WA, and you've executed perfectly. Nice work!

Hey thanks Nick, I was going for gritty, so I'm glad you saw that in it as well.

I agree with Nick about how this is a different and creative take on the WA. Grabbing us by the throat for "sweet" is certainly different. Well done!
All the best,
Endre
Thanks Endre, I knew after seeing your fantastic shot posted so early on that the only way I could hope to compete was by going in the opposite direction!
Definitely Sweet! I was wondering how to portray this definition and you hit on it very well. The lighting makes the perfect texture on the jeans! Very gritty indeed!
