After selecting to edit a photo in PS, editing, and closing the file in photoshop to return to Lightroom, the edited file always sorts to the very end of all the photos.
Not sure if I changed some setting. Before, the edited file would return right next to the original.
you are sorting by Import Order. i find that to be pretty useless and haven't figured out why someone would want it unless you import into the same directory all the time.
Sounds like that could be the reason...but I don't understand what the logic would be to throw it at the end if you're editing it from it's present location.
When I did it before, with By User Order, the edited image would return to the same location...That's the strange part...this never happened before.
I'm not on my Lightroom computer right now, but isn't there an option to allow the edited photo to be stacked with the original? That should put it side-by-side with the original in the Lightroom library. Can't remember if that is in the dialog box where you send the photo from Lightroom to Photoshop or somewhere in the Lightroom preferences.
