Endre, The lens was picked up on E-bay for $70, its a bellows with a 50mm carl zeiss tessar on the front. All manual so its like going back to my first film camera. I have posted a real size comparison shot ( although i couldn`t find the same grain exactly it did come from the same pot
Take care and Good luck

Great macro shot, Mark. Was this natural light or flash? Good luck this week...

Hi Dan
Although im fascinated by macro i am yet to get a suitable flash set up that doesnt cause shadowing by the lens. I am in the process of building a bracket and flash diffuser. So in answer to your question it was a hand held light about two inches away from the grain.
Many thanks for looking

A very well lit macro-shot. I love the black background and the reflection. Perfectly fits the theme.
A great shot,

Mark, you gotta try microscopy! Reformed crystals photographed through a microscope with two polarizer filters... It will blow you away and it is a lot of fun. Killer shot BTW! at first I thought I would need just one of those in my coffee until I saw your comparison. WOW!!!
