p.1 #1 · Portfolio C&C

I recently added some photos to the following galleries:

Air & Space Museum
National Botanic Garden
Mall in Washington DC

I've love to get feedback on anything and everything (feel free to comment on other galleries too!).

Here are some specific questions:

1) Is the red too overpowering in this photo?

2) This is my first flower shot (love the winters in the northern states). Is the sharpness and DOF fine?

3) General impressions of this photo.

4) In general, how are the outdoor photos? I've struggled with overcast days, to me it drains the color and punch from photos. I like taking big landscape shots, and a big white sky makes that difficult.

5) What about general photography? Composition, exposure?

6) Post processing?

I'm still very new to photography and love input. Sorry to flood with a lot of questions. Getting an answer to even a single question would be great!

Thanks in advance!

1. No, but I'd be inclined to crop away the windows on the right side of the shot as they are distracting. It should then have been a portrait shot rather than landscape.

2. ok, but it would work better without the white lines leading out of the frame on the right hand side, and with the white flowers at the top made a bit darker to be less distracting.

3. I don't like the square format. I'd rather see the plane or else the statue (with less exposure and with some indication of who it is) but as it is I don't know what you intended the subject to be. The chair blocks the detail in the wheel of the plane.

I haven't looked through the galleries yet and may not. It usually takes too long That's why it is often more productive here to ask about a single photo or a small number of them.
