p.1 #1 · bag choice, no bodies

will be wearing the two 5D's, looking for a small(ish) bag for moving around. Will have the large bag stashed nearby, but looking for something for maybe 2 lenses, flash etc. I'm used to carrying the bigger Domke F or J, but willing to check out another brand. Any suggestions.

Boda Bag ... multiple lens solution. I'm interested in it, however don't have experience with it... yet.

I made myself a ShootSac style bag. I have three pockets, so I can carry my 70-200, the 10.5 Fisheye and batteries, lens cloth, etc. just thrown over my shoulder.

The Boda bag is great, The Shoot Sac or the ProLens Wear bag would serve your purpose.

I just wish the Boda Bag could carry 1 body... it would be ideal for me. I don't like 2 bodies hanging on me. I've always wanted one around my neck and one in a bag ready to go right when I need it, hanging at my waste.

I love SlingShot bags for this reason... however, they aren't too classy for weddings when compared to what else is out there.

I fit 2 40D's (one with a 17-50 attached, the other with an 85 1.8 attached), 2 580's, a Stroboframe camera flip bracket, four BP511's, a couple dozen AAA's, and a wireless trigger set along with some more smaller items (BBC's, gray card, CF cards, etc.) in a Crumpler 7 million dollar home bag.

And I could still easily fit in another smallish lens like a 50 1.4. You may find it just a little bit too tight with the 5D's, but they have another bag one size up.

I work with the two bodies around my neck & the bag around my opposite shoulder (so it's kinda across my neck) and moved toward my back. Sounds like a lot but I've not had any problems.

I don't like changing lenses on the job and I don't like putting bags down somewhere and hoping they are still there when I get back, so everything goes with me, and fits in the one bag.

Shoot Sac.

I use it for two lenses, plus flash battery pack. On the "non-quick" access side of it, I keep business cards, pen&paper, and gum.

Their modulus system is perfect for event photography.

Ditto for Think Tank. It's far more versatile than the Shootsac or Boda. Customize it however you need. I do the same for weddings, carry two bodies and use the Think Tank ChangeUp with whatever modulus cases I need. Stash my main gear bag in my trunk for backup stuff.

Tamrac 920 is a slim bag. I use one or two of them rather than the huge LowePro that I used to use.

Thanks for all the suggestions, keep 'em coming, lots of choices. I'm adding them all to a wish list on BnH and put them against eachother. Can't find a 920, is it an older model?

I like the Domke F-5XB, two lenses and a flash fit perfectly in it.

Think Tank, but get the big belt, skip the little belt.

I use the TT Changeup. 2 bodies on me, with 1 or 2 lenses in a bag. Usually keep it very minimal.

Always carry backup batteries, cards, etc.

ThinkTank ChangeUp rocks my world - holds lenses, battery pack, pocket wizard, meter, event cards, notes, etc.

I wear it as a stomach pack with a body on each shoulder.

not as stylish as a Shootsac, but I love how secure it is when you wear it. The two bodies never get in the way.

PS - I used to use a modular ThinkTank belt but the ChangeUp is far more stylish and secure to your body.

$30 at your local outfitter store. No name, black, shoulder strap, it's there, it's humble it's going to hold the stuff you need without the fancy photo branding. Mines great!
