p.1 #1 · White River Canyon

Not sure how well this one works... I was trying to line up the snowshoe tracks into the curve of the mountain slope, but I'm not sure if I got it right (plus, the distortion kind of bothers me). any thoughts on composition or processing would be appreciated!

well, the snowshoe tracks lead me out of the composition, and no into it. and the snow on the right side is a bit glarish for me. 'tis a bit of a hard composition/scene to work with. hope this helps.

I think that it would be better without the snow shoe marks but that just me & I love the high contrast between the sky and the bright snow on the RHS.

welcome!

agreed, about 10 ft too close (or 10% more width). your concept was good it just needs breathing room. perhaps the whites need toning down, the contrast with the velvety grays of the downslope is a bit stark. best...skip

thanks for the feedback (and the quick responses)!

exactly what I was looking for- good to know about the comp. width and the contrast. I'll see if I can work on the contrast issue.

thanks again,
k
