OWC has 8gb for about $310 if you buy in 2gb modules (thats the cheapest way they can cut it)

Ohh man. I feel you. My computer (running a 4 year old dell xps...those oversized mother clunkers p4 3.2ghz and only 1 gig of ram) just kicked the bucket pretty much. Yesterday I backed up files on a 500g ext HDD and wiped the computer cleaned...formated everything. Re-installed the O.S., and now I have to go through the painful steps of setting up the wireless crap, getting all the dell drivers since the software on my cpu now is 4 years old, yada yada. Grrr.

Yep. Looks like I'm in the same boat. I'll probably have to spend a week--or more--re-loading, registering, updating, setting settings, etc.

But it will be nice to have a clean install. PhotoShop hasn't been running well for a couple of months. Nor has Nikon Capture. Both experience severe slowdowns after running for a while, and PS tends to lock up too often.

Where the heck is that PhotoShop settings folder hiding?
