p.1 #1 · Mojave Desert, 4x5 Tri-X 320

What a wonderful place! I can't wait to get back there! I gave my recently aquired 90mm Super Angulon a decent workout last weekend for this trip, I'm enjoying it alot! For some reason when I look at the photographs they don't feel as wide as they feel when I'm shooting them, not sure why that is. Either way, I'm satisfied with it! Should have the 8x10 with me on the next trip

The last one needs a bit more contrast I think, I'll adjust that later.

I like the low contrast balance of the last one the best, at least as it appears after scanning and posting here on FM.

Looks like you visited Red Rock Canyon. Gotta love the Mojave.

Great series. I particularly the comp in 33. Super stuff.

Some beautiful 'old school' photography you've done a fine job of processing these.

Some beautiful images. I do not think that they need more contrast, like them exactly the way they are.

Again, the secret to image quality is format, format, format. Theese are very nice. The more greys the better.

Thanks for the comments everyone! I'm finding with the film scanning, I like to scan the images very flat then add contrast just until the image looks right. I used to do the opposite with my digital captures. I would crunch the contrast then back off till I found them looking right.

I'm hoping to have my 8x10 setup complete for the next trip out there
