p.1 #1 · Downloader Pro Question

Is there anyway I can make downloader pro automatically open and start to download images when I put my card in the reader?

I currently am using a card reader that is built into my computer. When I put the card in the folder pops up for that particular drive which doesn't do me much good.

Thanks, Aaron.

I think you need to at least start the application first - but it can then autorun - see the General and Automation preferences tabs.

Don't bother myself - clicking a button or two is no great hardship

Thanks Paul. Is there anyway to prevent the folder popping up when I put the card in. I would imagine this is something that Windows triggers.

Not sure how you change it - but if I put a card in I get a series of options - but you can tick one make this happen every time - maybe this has been done.

Paul I know exactly what box you are refering to and probably hit the box that say's open this folder. The question is how to undo that now.

Aaron

Have you placed a tick in the box that says auto detect camera or card reader at startup, it is available under the general tab in preferences, also under the automation tab make sure you have ticked enable automation at startup.

Yes Tom but you still have to Open up Downloader Pro. What I was looking for was to have downloader pro open when I put the card into the reader.

I have also since found where you can make the changes for what happens when you insert the card into the reader. If you right click on the drive and go to sharing and security and then to AutoPlay it lets you select what happens for Music, Picture, Video and Mixed Files. For Pictures Downloader Pro is one of the options.

However no matter what I select the same thing keeps on happening which is the folder opening. Something has to be overriding the setting cause the folder to open when the card is inserted.
