Very nice set, Lou. I particularly like the feel of the last shot: the pose and the lighting are super. The secons shot looks like a sparrow to me, but it is hard to tell.
Take care,
Socrate

Nice series Lou. I grew up in CT so this brings back memories of the critters there. I like the last squirrel, there is a nice richness to it.
Tim
Thanks Tim and yeah I liked it also and will print it up for my book of wasted money

Thanks Socrate and you are 100% right about it being a sparrow as I really was not sure my self but the more I looked at the wing plumage in a book I decided I was wrong and happy you got it also.
Lou
PS Hoping to go to PLum Island as there is still at least one snowy owl there yet. A few of us FM s up here in Yankee land (or should I say Red Sox) are hoping to get together for the day.

Great series. I assume that you are shooting the Sigma 800/5.6?
Yes Al I am. This is my secomd one. I like it a lot as I never have to mess with any TEs and so far both have been sharp. (First was a Nikon Mount). Shame they don't make it any more but I see a new one from them a 150 to 500 with HSM and OS. Nice combo for walking and a 100MM more than the Canon 1 to 400. Thanks for the look

Nice Lou, glad to see you taking such good care of the locals
Thanks old Buddy, but I screwed up on the second as that is not a Brown Creeper but a sparrow but the other two are. Got a group of FMers for Sunday as we are hoping to go to Plum Island as there are still a few Snowey Owls there but Rob Amy says they are long ones if we get lucky enough to see them. Hoping

HI Lou... love the shots... especially the last squirrel... it's just a perfect shot in every way. Hope you are doing well.

Hey Terry all is well and sucks Thanks for the look and I guess your still waiting for some flowere in the back yard for that D3. I sent the link to my Buddy (also a big Nikon fan) and he though they were really great and statred right away with me about Nikon and pixels. I should have told him that I was wrong an you used a reble with a kit lens Hoping to get together this Sunday with a few FMrs for a trip to PLum Island in hopes of seeing a Snowey Owl. Told a few still remain.

Nice shots. Where in CT are you? I'm in Shelton. Don't see to many people from CT on this Forum.

Nope sorry Mark not in Ct. but have just moved from the Catskill Mountains in New York to Sandwich on Cape Cod. It has not grown on me just yet so please don't ask me why I would do such a thing. Here I am a New Yorker in a land of sad football fans Well lke the Brooklyn Dogers used to say "wait till next year"
