Great series Roger! Always shoot burst - when you do that in Servo mode, predictive focusing kicks in and the camera will predict where to focus on a moving subject taking into account shutter lag.

Great shots, Roger. My only complaint is that the pictures should be larger! Disk and memory card companies really appreciate you shooting in burst mode all the time.
ms_yuan thanks for the nice comment. IMHO memory is cheap so I have no problem with having some available and using it.

Love them!
I, too, like using the burst mode. I took a burst of roseate spoonbill in flight once that had two really good ones. By selecting one, and putting it in the picture with the other good one, it looks like two birds flying together, so that made a third excellent photo.
At least your birds had partners most of the time! Saved you the trouble!

Good idea how to make two singles into a double. Thanks.

Roger, I think these are the best photos of yours I've seen yet! It's been a pleasure watching your progression from the bigma days... keep it coming!
Andrew, I do think I am making progress but I also realize there is a lot more to learn. Thank you for the nice comment.
