p.1 #1 · Big Aircraft Narita Japan

I took these shots from an outdoor observation deck at Narita International Airport Japan. The deck affords some great opportunities. I'm looking for some C&C on these as I really like shooting aircraft and would like to better my images. Thanks!

nice! How do you get there? I've been to Narita a few times and have never heard of an observation deck. I'd like to check it out when I'm there again in May

p.1 #7 · Big Aircraft Narita Japan

Bruce,
By way of my c&c; I like the "drama" of the moment that you captured in these and the sharpness of the subject matter. On the "flip side" I would also like to see more seperation of the subject from the background; perhaps by using a smaller dof or even panning the subject so you get motion blurr in the background. Additionally, #3 almost has the plane framed in a light background, but yet shows the ground and runway... I'm thinking that if the plane could have been captured at a moment when it was just a bit above the tree line while keeping the ground and runway, the image would be better. In #2, I really like the way you composed the shot with Narita in the near background, but again I feel that it would have been even stronger if the structures and trees in the far background were somewhat out of focus... and maybe with a bit less sky too. I hope this is somewhat useful for you. I like what you are doing here and these small changes might make a difference. Best wishes. -Art
