I'm afraid that the focus is poor and the exposure is too high. Even at 1/500 sec the flowers are not sharp and that suggests a missed focus rather than camera motion. Another probable cause is lack of DOF despite shooting at f/9 - that's what happens when you shoot up close. The histogram indicates too much exposure, and in general youshould be aware that reds can overexpose quite easily.
1/500 should be more than adequate for the flowers but you'd probably want faster to keep the bee nice and sharp.
With those issues fixed I think I would have liked this photo.
I think Alan is spot on. Also, try a vertical crop to remove the rightmost flower and I'd probably darken the background.
Even using a tripod, I've found the slightest breeze can be a problem when shooting extreme close ups - don't know if you were using VR or not but I've read (don't have any VR lenses - yet ) it, IIRC, does not compensate for moving subjects, either.
