It depens somewhat on the lens you plan to use it on, and how you plan to use it. The cheapie ebay ones are not anodized (or painted) black. I think that can be problematic in some light where the light goes through the lens, then can get reflected from the adapter onto the sensor. The fit and finish varies considerably, and it could be an issue affecting performance with some lenses, especially the wide angle ones - or it could just be that the lens wobbles and twists a little more than it should on the adapter/camera.
Another happy customer of happypagehk. I also had a (pricy) cameraquest adapter, and while it was beautifully made, I could not discern any advantage in performance. However, I did have an older and less well-made adapter (I don't know the name of the ebay seller, as I got it used, but it was not by happypagehk) -- it exhibited a less than secure connection between lens and body, and resulted in some shots being partly OOF. YMMV
Without naming names, I was about to sell an Olympus lens (28/2) because I was getting poor results. Tried a different adapter and it made a huge difference. I now have to keep the lens. Both adapters look the same to me and they cost about the same. But, what a difference. I'll bet it comes down to individual adapters and individual lenses sometimes.
I plan on picking up a 28mm for now, as it is the only cheap lens readily available and I only have a couple hundred to spend (not even that). Man... being a student can suck sometimes...
That's been my experience with the cheap ebay adapters.

At the time a couple years ago that's all that was available for about $75 a shot. I still have one of those. They work better with some lenses than others. For instance, I notice some lenses (especially third party ones like Vivitar in OM mount), seem to have tighter prongs. The good thing about those adapters is that they all seemed to be very flat and focus correctly at infinity.

I meant, spend more on an adapter.... but yeah... so now.. is anyone selling a f2 28?
I have an f2.8 I might be selling. I highly doubt you'll find a Zuiko 28/2 for a couple hundred.
I will, however, also be selling either a Vivitar 28/2 or a Kiron 28/2 (haven't decided yet). They are the same lens design (Kiron built them both). The price will certainly be right!
But. They are fast and much sharper than you would think. Their lower contrast can be used extremely effectively on digital. Much better on a 5D than a 20D, though. Perfect for low-light and "creative" shooting, IMO. Not a landscape lens (not for me, anyway).
I might be parting with a Leica R28/2.8 latest, if I decide on the Oly E3, but it might not be in your price range. If not it might still be seeing a lot of Canada this summer if all goes to plan.
I found the happypagehk ones, but they are near the price of the photodiox... how long did he take to ship to canada or us? Also, like pdmphoto says, they aren't anonized, they are brass... has anyone notice the problem he was referring too?
