I went out yesterday to see if last years great horned owls were back again this year, and after checking under the regular trees for pellets, found the pair sitting hidden in one of their regular spots. Again to day, found them in another tree, so I'll be anxious to see what develops (literally) in the next couple of months. Just a couple pictures for the time being.
WOW, Shelley, that was fast work! Earlier in the day I remarked on your deer post that I was hoping for a new owl family this year. Beauties, both - will be anxious to see if a family comes to pass.
Hmmm... I wonder if I can get such satisfying results that quickly if I tell my wife I want a new D3 and a 600mm f4 VR!?
If they put on a show for you this year like they did the last it's going to be fun following your threads again, Shelley Nice work hunting them down and picking them out through the foilage. #2 - Stunning!
