Why is no one talking about the PMA 2008 event in the forums? Or are there posts somewhere and I'm just not seeing them?
I've got the standard PMA links to their site and their daily news items. But where can one go to get peoples take on it, up to the minute real news items, etc?? All I see is the basic "published approved PMA promo news", but nothing more than that.
Perhaps naively, I'd figured people here would be talking a lot about the event? Is everyone out there in LasVegas without their computers? When will we hear about the B&H Pro promo codes? And the "excitement builds"...
Rodney, wondering the same thing here, I'm new to this so I don't have a clue as to how it works, I guess I'll just have to wait and in the meantime go shoot...yell outside if there's any huge surprise (unlikely) release of a 400 prime with IS

You won't. B&H attends, and often sponsors, various trade shows, seminars and conventions world-wide. Whenever we attend these events we offer promotional "Show Specials" catalogs which include special promotional pricing on a variety of popular products. These specials are designed to be exclusively for show attendees, who often incur considerable expense (travel, lodging, entry fees) to participate. For the convenience of show attendees we have included links to our site so they can avail themselves of these specials.
At PMA we're attendees, not exhibitors. We do not have a booth there and do no marketing to our customers. At PMA, we're the customer.

Hi. Thanks for your reply. I've seen your posts around this forum on occasion. imho having B&H respond to FMer's questions is a real good thing. And as a happy B&H customer, I'm glad you take the time to partcipate in the forum.
On the links, I was hoping to find a blog or something like that. Is there anything besides the more formal announcements pages that you've seen? I did a google so I had the ones you posted, but I thank you for going to the trouble of finding them for us.
I checked the links of the first three I had already found them, but the last 2 don't seem to be for PMA. MacWorld didn't seem to have anything even in a search for PMA2008. Not complaining, did I my foggy eyes miss an obvious link on that page?
I too appreciate Henry Posner's participation on this forum. I also appreciate his stated position on show codes. I purchase from B&H frequently and respect his company enough as a quality online supplier for photography products that I pose this question to him.
If there is a situation, as I and I am sure many others find themselves in, whereby I will either purchase a perceived bargain that I receive with a show code (from a show I did not attend), or not purchase from B&H at all.... what would he wish I do?
