p.1 #1 · EF 80-200, 2.8L Lens on 5D Body

I recently got my 5D and am very excited to take pictures with a tele zoom. Unfortunately, I have realized that the Canon EF 800-200, 2.8L lens which I was using on my EOS 3 film camera is not fitting to the 5D body. Is there any adaptor to use this beautiful lens with my 5D body? I would be grateful for your advice.

Now I've never had a 5D or 80-200L, but the L lens is an EF, and the 5D should accept all EF lenses regardless of age. So something is either wrong with the lens or the camera.

Agreed. This lens should work fine on your 5D. Something is amiss.
