You're kicking ass with that filter! It makes me wish I was nearer to some unfrozen water to try mine out on shots like this.

Another winner. Any noise problems associated with the technique? For instance, can you cook hotdogs over your sensor? It would be a comfort on these cold days.

This is very smooth -- I like it. I might prefer to have the pier slightly lower in the frame, but this still works fine.

No noise problems thus far. Incorporating something like Noise Ninja or Neat Image is something that would correct any excess noise anyway.....but......that beast hasn't reared it's head as of yet.

Hi Tom

I see you are using a 10nd filter, whats your usually depth of field with a filter on a 24mm lens? F4 F8 F16?

Thanks

Beautiful! Love the warm tones on the pier, and the subtle hint of pink on the water, too. Wonderful effect, Tom!

Tim, man I worry about you!

Nice image Tom, I am assuming a small aperture? These type of shots are becoming my favorite. For now..... I too am just getting into ND & Grad ND filters....

This was shot at f/11. Lens was Canon 70-200f/2.8IS at 110mm. That's the beauty of the 10-stop filter. You can shoot at f/11 in daylight hours.
