Still won't work. I just chose an avatar from the FM selection, and it worked. I went to this topic, click on it and saw the new avatar. I went back to my profile, clicked on edit profile, click on the avatar link, went down to the custom section, chose my file, when it appeared there, I clicked on upload new avatar, and the old one re-appeared. The old one that I can't get rid of is the blond girl/black jacket. The new one is my son making a mean face. I'm going to try this again right now, but if you see the girl, it means it didn't work again.

The bluriness seems to be gone. But should I do someting with the size ratio to fix the distortion. I tried both 60x60 and 55x37(which is proportional).

Hi there,
I'm glad it worked. If you resize it to 60x60 while keeping the image undistorted, it should work. Basically you need to crop your image making sure the width and height are very close in dimension.
