Superb shot ! So true and very touching to me.
To be picky I find the foreground out of focus thumb a bit disturbing and the long nails (especially the bottom ones) too. I think you can improve the shot by cropping (a bit too much empty space on the right and just a tad on the top to me).

I really like it a lot. Love the B/W, and lighting. The soft lines and creases in your hands/fingers are a lovely contrast to the smoothness of the seeds. Simply lovely.
