OMG, another super amazing series Doug. But those two acrobatic shots are breath-taking. One of these days, I would like to visit this place during the winter just for the chance to photograph the eagles...
Excellent shots and really like #6 what river was this, and what lens was used. You got the action nailed down with very sharp image too. Hope you did get froshbitten.
Darn good shots Doug, nice detail and color. We only have a couple of sort of handicapped, sort of disfunctional Ospreys that are hiding most of the time down here in OC!

Great collection, Doug. #6 proves that this maneuver is a defensive one by the eagle being attacked, and is not always a mating ritual. If the eagle with the fish does not roll over and present its talons, it risks having the attacker's talons strike its back.
