The edited version is better to me. A very nice shot except for the burn spot of light. And yes you can just change the link in your first post I think.
I'm wondering if it might look even better if you cloned out the two biggest highlights that are near the middle of the buds? (Try the clone tool with the mode set to darken.)

The touchup is better and I agree with Jason. The burn spots were what I was distracted by as well. As far as replacing your entry, you have to delete your first post and repost. You basically have to start it over! Deleting the first one will delete all your comments, but that is how you will get the new pic up unfortunately.
Very nice. The concept, subject, colors are all great! We had an ice storm a year ago (rare for Texas) and I saw things like this, plants caught unaware.
