I was in B&H this morning as well and never went over to the used dept. And I could have saved on shipping and insurance. There were more customers in the store than live in my zip code I think, at least a few hundred if not a thousand. Note to myself: don't go to B&H on Sunday. I do like the new configuration, but my wife has found out about we bagaholics after seeing me fondling a Domke F2. Another note to self: Do not take wife to B&H no matter what day.

You'd probably need a forklift, truck, and lots of elbow grease to move that thing around. I doubt that thing is very portable though.

what about sale tax.. 8.375% is a measly $8300.. damn if i didn't live in NYC, this baby would be mine already.. sale tax kills the deal.

Well, the year 2008 just ushered in a 1% drop in sales tax for Canada. I guess I'll be saving $990!

Last nite, while my infinitely better half was in a kinda "festive mood", I showed her the listing: "Boo Boo, this is what I want" says I. She (mis)read the $ figure and snorted at me angrily: "A $9,900 lens ? You must be pi$$ed out of your flipping mind !"
