I should sign up for the bill me later, and in 6 months they could repo it. It would be a black mark on your credit, but you could just tell the loan officer you go to for you next loan it was a scam. What banker would believe you really spent 99k on a camera lens?

Genius.
I just got the order confirmation and UPS tracking number.

Having broken a sink or two in my time, I can say with certainty that the plumber deserves the Porsche. Can't say the same for the others, especially the politician.

Is it possible to hand hold this thing?
On another note I was in a camera store the other day (a relatively big one in the city (Melbourne, Australia) but tiny compared to B&H) and one of the salesman was bragging about how they were a Canon authorised dealer and could get a 1200mm within 24 hours or some other bullcrap like that. Seems a bit of a stretch for me...lol

I'm thinking about buying one of these for my Rebel XTi that I got at Christmas, but I need to see some sample pictures first to evaluate corner-to-corner sharpness, CA and flare control. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

You touch upon an interesting subject. While many Canon photographers, particularly those of wildlife persuasion, swoon at a mere mention of that lens, it is generally not known what the lens performance is like.
It stands to reason that the lens would be sharp and all that, yet if the FL was a strongly overriding design objective with that thing, perhaps some IQ elements had to take a hit. (*PetKal dons an asbestos suit and runs for his life*)
