p.1 #1 · A Tigers’ gaze

Stopped by Woodland Park Zoo on the way home from my daughter’s indoor soccer tournament and after the tragedy in San Francisco where a Tiger escaped from its’ pen and killed someone, made it a point to visit the Tiger exhibit at Woodland Park.

The weather was dreadful, mid thirties, snow mixed with rain, dark and windy so there was no one in sight as I took my camera out and snapped a few shots of the big cat. I may have been sensitized due to the recent events in California but this big guy was very interested in me and after the tiger eventually jumped down in the moat, I decided it was time to leave.
I had taken a few snapshots while the cat was up near the back of the exhibit when I changed to a longer lens. I was initially disappointed as I looked back up and saw no cat until I realized it had moved right up to the edge of the moat and was sitting there staring at me.

I agree that number 2 is the best. Great colors and pose. Steve W
