We already have Prev and Next buttons. They are located on the top right of the page.
The "End" link is different than the “Last”. The difference is that it will direct you to the end of the thread. (Last post).
The previous “Last” link took you to the top of the last page. Now, you are still able to go to the top of the last page by clicking on the link right before "End".
Uh oh, I always thought those prev and next buttons were for the next and previous topics on the main page. Never thought them to be page changers within the same topic. They just seemed misplaced for that. I was meaning some buttons right next the page numbers (2,3,4,5 end).
I had Never noticed the next/last buttons either. Seems to me that the page number links should be bigger and the next/last links should be in amongst them so that all page navigation is done in one place instead of two. It should also be clearer which page you are on e.g.

That moves you between TOPICS, but doesn't page between pages within the same thread/topic? Brainiac's example is what I'm after!
In the forums, the heading says page 1, 2, ... y, z, last. If you go to the second page of topics, it doesn't scroll to read 1, 2, 3, .... As a result, there is currently not a way to get to the third page of topics other than got to the end and work backwards. The numbers scroll properly when moving towards the first page from the last pages of topics.
Works fine for me. Try hitting f5 and see if a reload wont help. Even the "Black Hole" on B&S works. Click on the 3 dots and the pop up window asks you to type in a page number. Pretty slick actually.
The set up has changed since my comment an hour or so ago. when I click on page two, the heading now reads 1, < 2 >, ... and clicking on the > gets me to page 3.
I like what you did with the page numbers on the topic pages: 1 2 < 3 > 4...
Much, much better. Both clearer and more functional. Bravo.

I'm sure brainiac can make it better. One bug is that the last page should not have a "Next" link.

And, as long as we're wishing, I'd vote for the Prev and Next page links to be a little larger, and maybe on each side of the page number list. (Makes it easier to navigate from the iPhone)
May not be a bug but perhaps time differences not set correctly - but you can go from no replies to a post since your own to one marked as having been added 6 hours ago - three seconds later
Nearly there. Thanks for spotting the bugs. Funny - I was working on next/prev links and currentpage highlighting in a testing version when I went to the site and found Fred had done exactly the same thing. Doh! I've fixed the next and last links appearing on the first or last pages. Only remaining problem as far as I can see, is that I can't get the end link to behave properly on the last page.
