After 2:30 hour of driving and couple of fish tails along the way, we finally arrived at Bryce just to find that the roads were not plowed (covered with about 8-12 inches of snow). After helping a guy from Vegas who was stuck in the snow, we continued to Sunset point. We got there just in time for Varina to take this shot.

Thanks, love. And thanks for not killing us on the way there - you handled the driving like a pro. It's a good thing we live in Ohio... we're used to weather and driving conditions like that.

Thanks Devin. Actually, no. I didn't use a star filter. I don't own one - too expensive. Instead, I created the star effect in PhotoShop. I try not to add effects to my images, but in this case, since I could get the effect in camera, I went ahead and made the adjustment. What do you think?
I'm not sure if its just me, or what, but every so often, when I click a thread name to enter it, I don't see any image. Just a sentence reading, "Image copyrighted by owner".
I did see that place in the summer a few years back and would definetely love to see it under the snow one day. What is the good period for that ? Until when ? (what about march for instance ?)

Thanks Xavier. Average temperatures in Bryce in March are mid forties (Fahrenheit) during the day, and dropping into the teens at night. You never know what you are going to get. I suggest taking a good look at the weather patterns expected for the week of your trip - and having alternate locations in case the skies don't do what you want them to do.
