This thread is always the best of the year - great shots everyone
Here's one from a series I took for a family friend who wanted some photos of her horses (seven!). I'd never photographed horses before, and it was quite a challenge to capture something that looked a little different to the norm.
One of the few times I've planned what to do and managed to carry it through - hence my best of 2007 choice.
Dang it, Floris! All the hummingbird shooting I've done, I've never gotten anything like this. It's GREAT. The posture and the lighting. Well done. I'm jealous.
Mohammed,
That there leopard isnt looking all that welcoming
A truly amazing shot. I am very glad he decided to keep you for another day. love the light on his neck and shoulder
Cheers

Bob
Bob not much to tell , one of those fluke encounters , I saw him and pulled over got out of my truck and he didn't fly away , I spent 10 minutes snapping a shot every time he moved or turned his head, I have about 100 different poses , some full frame head shots from minimum focusing distance with my 200 F/ 2.8L , Oh yeah I'm in Ottawa and he was in a farmers field on the outskirts of the city

My contribution... I'm pleased to be in the same thread as such talented photographers!
Great stuff, all. I chose this image as it captures (to my eyes) the feeling one gets exposing
yourself to the magic of the "Bosque".
:-) Great exposure. By both photographer and subject :-)
Thats just cool.
I really love the angle, lighting, and colors.
Really looks likes like he is planning on headding home w/ you.
Thanks 4 the additional details, great going, Bob
Walter, ditto to you.
You guys are all so darn tallented. Just goes to show what getting out there(get THE shot) can provide.
Thread is rockin'--
Here's one of my favorites this year. This little Kinglet sat right in front of me for a brief moment and dished up a good pose. They're usually bouncing around all over the place....cheers...Don
