Shooting with fwyflyr, Mr. Zoom,Thang and the rest of the OC crew at the SJWS trying to get the holy grail shot when this guy showed up. That was a great day I will remember for a long time.
Time for an Encore Presentation....Some say this may be the Shot of the Year at a very special place...I feel this is my best shot of my career. I appreciate all the support from FM and locally. I look forward to trying to outdue this shot next year.
Great thread, again, Laura. And, many inspiring shots here.
This is "Cutie," a fawn born late last year. Lots of folks loved her and she was well fed in the woods and adored. She began to have symptoms and didn't look well. Even an animal control friend checked her, but we were sad to find she had died in April.
So, this image (with many others similar) is very special.
I enjoy seeing all your best shots for 2007. I did not get much shooting done this year but happy to share this recent photo of the resident reddish egret at Bolsa Chica:
I took this one on November 4, the last day Yellowstone was open for automobiles. It was my first time shooting these majestic animals and there was alot of doubt that morning as to if we'd see this pack or not. I gotta give it up to the National Park/Refuge system here in the USA!!!
This shot really encompasses the highlights for me during this past year. I was able to travel to Costa Rica on a mission trip and found some time to grab some of the local splendors. I can't wait to get back there and really take my time.
Thanks for starting this thread, it just really goes to show the talent and patience out there possesed by all of the N&W FMer's.
Happy Holidays and here's to an even more fruitful 2008!

Beautiful work everybody. Very inspiring to look at and even more inspired to know that very few of these awesome shots would not be getting the views that they are without the digital revolution.
As for me, my favorite is a relatively simple shot of a notoriously tough butterfly to capture. Canon 10D, EF 300mm f4, ISO 100, 1/90th at f5.6.
