Took this during my trip to NY this week.. It was taken at the "Top of the Rock" in NYC during a rainy night.. They thought I was crazy for buying a ticket to go up there during such bad weather.

Thanks, and agreed on the ticket.. I got some other fun images that I have been pretty happy with as well while up there.. More fun when conditions aren't 'ideal'.
Hi Matt, and welcome to FM, and your first WA. I think your image is wonderful! I love the colors, and the foggy city below the crystal clear floor makes a super contrast. I especially like all the angles, and lines. I think it's a WOW!
Great shot. I like the colors and depth of the cityscape. The lighting really works with the composition. The only thing that bugs me a bit is the piece of building on the right side of the frame, maybe I'm crazy, but it just seems to detract from the composition a bit... Still, awesome capture!

I hear ya.. I tried a few different versions.. one cropped as you are describing.. I don't know something about it messed up the 'flow' for me.. I do know what you are saying though.. I think the reason I am ok with it, is because there is so much stuff going on in the middle and left hand side of the picture, my eye isnt drawn to the right at all anyway..
