Great pictures and a good shot of Will, a true ambassador of the Bosque. I hope to get to the Bosque in January.

Thanks Dean and glad you enjoyed them Hope you do get a chance to visit this year. The shot of Will was an act of retribution. Was busy photographing a young doe and turned around and found The Monkey pointing a lens at me. I just had to return fire

Ken, All nice shots! I am sure you got more that 10 good shots -- it will be nice to see more. I was down there this past Thursday and pressed the button too many times myself. The colors are beautiful and the birds are continuing to arrive. I do wonder if Will puts on the red suit for Christmas. Steve W
Hi Steve, I don't know how Bosue looks at other times of the year but I sure enjoyed what it had to offer while I was there. Probably going to be nothing but bare branches in the next few months. I think Will has a gauranteed retirement career at Macys if he wants one

Steve,
Sorry to keep you waiting so long I'm going to try to concentrate on getting more processed this weekend. Been working 10-12 hour days at works since my return and haven't had much time to work on them

Looks like you had a very enjoyable and productive (4,000 shots) trip. I'll be looking for more of your shots on the board.

It was indeed a nice break from the ponds and the bay here in our region. While they had many of the usual cast of characters we have here, is was nice finally getting some shots of something different. We need to get you away from your memorial handrail one of these days and out to Bosque for a change

HYey, Ken. Just found these. Looks like you had a fine trip. Fantastic place isn't it? Hope to have it a little more wired this time. Really like the pair taking off and the ol' coyote in the last image.
Hi Chris,
Fantastic place doesn't do it justice. If Bosque were in my backyard I would play hooky from work at least once a week I have lots of shots of pairs taking off. It's getting isolated birds taking off that is the real challenge. The always take off in groups and there's a lot of wing and foot clipping going on.
The ol' Coyote is always sneaking into your shots when you are least expecting him to
