Looks like that safety pin has been around awhile. Reminds me of when I did cloth diapers for my son in the "olden" days. Always could sharpen that pin up by running it along one's scalp. Worked like a charm. Great idea for the WA!!

Wonderfu shot and a great take on the WA! Is that the window reflection the same window you shot for your "Windows" entry a few seeks ago? My only comment would be that (on my monitor, at least) the hand appears too red. But it is a fantastic photo!

All best wishes,
Endre
Endre....Thanks so much for your comment! You have a Keen Eye!!! That is an identical window as was in my 'Windows' entry. I tried so hard to get rid of the reflection.....But then my time ran out!
I saw this last night and wanted to comment, but didn't have time...
This is a great shot and a great concept. The colors are very nice as well, but maybe like Endre said, the hand is a bit red. It doesn't take away from the overall image IMHO.
I can feel the hairs on the back of my neck rise up in anticipation of that thing popping!
Great shot with wonderful colors and perfect composition, Patty!
My mother used to burn the pin’s tip with a match, to dig out splinters from my fingers, and let me tell you, they looked exactly like this one.
Now the red hand is another story; I think that’s sunburn, because of the light colored ring mark!
Congratulations, Patty!! What a great image, and I just wish I'd gotten by to tell you that sooner! Good for you, my friend!!!
(I'm going to send you a cool video of a man bursting a yellow water balloon with a pin. The latex disappears from around the water, revealing the quantity of water suspended in mid-air, still in the shape of the balloon. It was shot at 2000 frames per second. It's really amazing to see.)
As soon as I saw your balloon I knew you needed to see it!
