Here's my entry for the week. Going to try and re-shoot tomorrow, but I am told that they will be cleaning this building up tomorrow, so it might not be suitable to shoot it.

Hope you like. Feel free to comment!

I love this Arka!! It looks like a scene from "Metropolis" or some 20's sci-Fi movie! "Count down to launch... 10... 9... 8..."

Cheers,
Hugh

i love the light that shines through the windows as well as the sunset light effects. the black and white makes it look almost digitally constructed. initially i wanted to boost up the contrast to see if it would look better, but then when i opened it up in photoshop, it seemed fine. i discovered that the gray background of the website is what was making the photo seem less contrasty. not sure why tho! good luck!

Thanks everyone for your kind words;

- Hugh - I kind of felt the same way after I processed it. This building has a very futuristic feel to it, with some neat angles and very clean textures and lines. It is clearly a house of worship, but it is definitely a more modern take on a hallowed architectural thema. Glad you like it!

- Thanks Windchime. I actually wish I had gotten there a little earlier, so I could get the sun through the top window, but that's life. Maybe I should get started on these things earlier in the week

- Thank you Joe. I thought that a B&W conversion here would serve well to emphasize the lines and forms, and keep the colors from becoming a distraction.

Thanks again, and good luck to all the other entrants!
