Thanks for the kind comment, Mike, but I'm awaiting your entry this week. Surely there must be something in that magic workshop of yours that moves slowly?
All best wishes,
Endre

I really like this Endre! Soft and silky. Woot!
BEAUTIFUL. Very intriguing colors!
I expected some snail shots... but this one is unexpected and captivating.
(ps - what lens did you use for these 2 shots?)
So glad you like it, Patty! Actually. he was sleeping on our neighbor's wall. I woke him up when I transplanted him to the flower and after finding just the right position he went back to sleep on the flower itself.
All the best,
Endre

Endre!!!!!!!!Wonderful Stuff.....This is unreal. Where on earth did you find this guy.
Thanks, Tom! I appreciate the kind words. One never knows around here w3hat does or doesn't make the finals. The important thing is to shoot a good shot that one is happy with.
All the best,

Beautiful colors, Endre. A finalist for sure.
Very nice shot, vibrant colors. Like hos the snails body almost melds with the flower, somehow adds to the visual abstract you have pulled together. Nice idea on a snail photo.
I think I prefer your alternative, but both are as splendid as we've grown acustommed to expect.
Did you get my pills? I sent you a big batch of the uber-rubbish ones in a Vicunia consignment. Look for the winking Vicunia - he'll have them on his back in a flashing orange rucksack.
Thanks, Art! I'm glad you like it. Your opinion is always valued.
All the best,
Endre

Thanks for commenting, Jim.! I'm glad you like it. I was lucky in that the snail poked his eye right into the sunlight at the moment I clicked the shutter.
Fond regards,
Endre

Endre, I really like the lighting of your entry. Dapples of sunlight and the strong colors of the flower work for me...plus the focus on the snails eye is spot on. I also like your alternate version. Good luck!
Thanks, Gotsy! Haven't seen you around much lately. I hope all's well.
Glad you like it. The sunlight shining throught the snail's body was a bit of good luck, too.
All best wishes,
Endre

Thanks, Fibbs! I like them both, too but I prefer the one I entered because of the color and the abstrac design it makes.
Hmmm... Haven't seen a Vicuna around these parts for ages. I did see an Alpaca go by a few days ago bue he didn't say anything about a shipment of "Rubbish Pills". :worried: I've got a big concert coming up so I don't want to take enough of those pills to wind me up stuck like you were with your photo this week. That wouldn't do at all.
Thanks for the shipment and the kind comments.
Fond regards,
Endre

Thank yo uso much, Nick, my friend! So glad you like it. I figured the dull snail needed a bit of color to spice up the shot.

Hello Endre,
This is so beautiful! It's literally moving at a snail's pace down the bloom. Well done. The color and detail are amazing.

You're welcome to it, Mike, my friend, but I know you can easily shoot something just as good or better. I'd be thrilled to know half as much as you do about lighting.
All best wishes,
Endre
