Mark, these are all very good. My personal selection out of the 5 would be #2 and #5. Although we know the seller out of the group will the #1, and it is a wonderful viewing image and one that could easily grace a wall. People want the dynamic colorful images or the very dramatic b&w's as a rule.
Congratulations btw on your publications in Outdoor Photographer and now your article on Singh-Ray gnd.

These are really nice. I also prefer the 2nd one and the BW.
By the way, on the BW you said you used no filter, but the clouds have such a strong "3D feel" and great texture that it looks like a polarizer was used. Is that correct ?
You must have had a great time hiking in such a beautiful scenery.
Excellent images all of them.....exactly the consistantly beautiful work I have come to expect from your journeys. I do have one question though....On my monitor I see light falloff in the corners and slightly on the sides. Is this intentional?
Simply amazing. I always appreciate looking at your work. From this series I would have to say that #2 is the most compelling image. You bring beauty to what appears to be a very barren landscape.
Great work!

I find myself really drawn to the 2nd and last shots. The landscape combined with the light give them a really other-worldy look. I like that it's the kind of landscape you don't really see represented that much in pictures (whereas the kind of landscape in #1 is seen much more often, but rarely as well captured as yours!).
It's pictures like these that really inspire me. Both to put more effort into creating my shots and also to explore my surroundings more. Sometimes I'm too impatient and want my pictures to come quickly. Shots like these make me realize that patience and the willingness to get off the beaten path can pay off in a big way.
Your work is always exemplary and this series is no exception. It would be easy for me to mention the merits of each individual composition here as they truly are a standout each and everyone in their own merits but the composition that moves me the most in fact I come back consistently is the 2nd image. Wow!
Seeing work like this makes me homesick. I miss living in Central Oregon and it's such a blessing to see someone who can capture something so beautiful just the way you would see it for yourself. I wish I had the endurance to hike in the Three Sisters Wilderness as my dad goes on regular hikes. I'll never forget the first time I saw my very first thunder and lightning snow storm at the summit of the South Sister. Hopefully I'll get myself back into shape so I can start hitting up different areas.
We are truly blessed to live in such a beautiful state. I hope the others are jealous, as they should be.
