When green is all there is to be
It could make you wonder why, but why wonder why
Wonder, I am green and it'll do fine, it's beautiful
And I think it's what I want to be...

I love the title!! You stold it from me. Tom, did you try cropping a bit closer? I think it could be cool with him filling the frame I bet this guy has a big appetite. Nice capture, my friend.
Thanks Philly, I am surprised someone else hasn't submitted one yet.
Aw heck Jane, I went to our sewage lagoon to try to get a frog but it is still too early I guess, by fall they will be crazy out there. I really wanted a closer crop. I really don't have a good macro set up and these guys are still very tiny, this one is less than 1/2 inch. When I use a full size crop it seems that the noise is more noticeable than on this shot, which I'm not happy with...any suggestions (short of buying a new lens)? I will try re-shooting tomorrow.
Excellent Tom, just right for the assignment!
I’ve been also thinking frogs, but without a good macro lens (or a frog). I’ll have to think of something else….
Tom, you nailed the focus. I think you may have lost a little definition due to overexposure, but I realize that you had to crop to get this tight. If you get lucky tomorrow, you might try a quick autobracket sequence, and see which shot does best after adjustments to the raw files. Since you seem to enjoy this hunt (along with lots of other kinds of photography), I hope that you can eventually get a first class macro set up. [Come to think of it, I hope that for myself as well!]
