How did you get the moon and her sharp? In order to do that, you would need about F22 with a lens wider than 28mm....
BUSTED! OK ... here's how it went... I got this 85 1.4 and was shooting everything in sight with it and really liking what I was gettting. I took the shot of the girl with the moon hand held with fill from my SB800 with a Gary Fong Cloud attachment on it dragging the shutter and everything came out as you see it with a couple of exceptions: 1) there was a yellow streetlight that could have been left in, but I opted to remove it and 2) the moon WAS slightly washed out, but exactly that size , so I had a full moon taken with the EXACT same lens (85 1.4) handheld (not with any intention to use it in this shot or anywhere else) but it fit perfectly and I inserted it into the same position.
I actually softened the sharpness of the moon insert so as to make it look like it was behind the thin vail of clouds.
I don't think I meant to imply that this was unmanipulated...although I did say it was one frame...sorry! I believe I stated that I did post on it, I shoot EVERYTHING in RAW so for me, EVERYTHING is manipulated to one degree or another..........
I should have added more details, but then you'd know ALL my secrets.

Thank you John, but when I joined here back in 2003 I gained mentors like you who helped me make the difficult transition from film. I'm sure that you don't remember, but you are the one who inspired me to make the jump (a pair of D70’s) way back when. After 37+ years of shooting, your insightful C&C's still make me realize how much I have to learn.
it is so amazing to me to think i have done Anything , when we first met i had probably been shooting (other than the one roll a year type thing) less than a year ! Digital made possible my immersion in this craft and i still really enjoy it even after all these years 5 to be exact
